I am starting different sketches with different theme. This is one of them and of course it's Tea. This first tea pot (it's really a set) was given to me by my cousin over 10 years ago and have just been sitting around. So I thought it might be a good place to start instead of just some random google image. Maybe the rest will be googled image but not the first one. This is just a sketch right now. But will probably add colors at some time. Who knows where or how far this will go but maybe it will be something I can use in one of my future patterns. The file (or canvas) is actually pretty big so I can add more. This is just a cropped portion. If not there will be too much blank space.
This is done with Sketchbook Pro and the Wacom tablet.

Thank you for joining use for T(ea) yesterday. It's never too late to appreciate the beauty of a tea pot, especially one you have drawn. You did a marvelous job, too. I really like the Asian influence of the pot, and the tea bag and tag you wrapped around the E. Very clever and fun. Again, thanks for sharing this beautiful drawing with us. I look forward to many more in the future.
ReplyDeleteSo glad that you were still there and I made it in time. Thanks Elizabeth.

Thanks Patty. Yeah that's the angle with it sitting right in front of me so I am almost looking at it from above.
DeleteNICE sketch, love the tea bag hanging from a letter, clever touch!
ReplyDeleteThanks Krisha.
DeleteWonderful, myriam. i love how you got the bamboo handle so perfectly
ReplyDeleteThanks Vicki. I had help with the handles ... I used the ruler tool in the Sketchbook Pro software. This is my favorite software for sketching right now.
